In the United Arab Emirates, Commemoration Day is a public holiday honouring the devotion and sacrifices of Emirati martyrs who gave their lives while performing civil, military, or humanitarian duties. The day is marked annually on 30th of November but observed with a public holiday on the 1st of December, hence, the 30th of November is an ordinary school day.
