Sports & PE - Regent International School | British Curriculum | Best School in Dubai
Secondary: Sports & Physical Education
We take sports seriously at Regent and celebrate our sporting achievements just as much as academic successes.

Our students enjoy an extensive timetabled programme for PE including Health-related fitness, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Trampolining, Cricket, Rounders and Athletics. Our curriculum offers great breadth, with students also participating in activities as diverse as touch Martial Arts and Zumba.

This offer is further enhanced by our Games programme which allows all students exposure to competitive team sports such as Football, Touch Rugby, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, and Handball alongside further opportunities for developing Health and Fitness.

As well as our dedicated PE staff – we bring in specialist coaching to bolster the Games program and also give students opportunities to experience the breadth of activities on offer locally in Dubai. Our teams, known as the Spartans, compete in the full range activities offered by the DASSA and DAPSA Dubai Sports organizations and we have many athletes competing at local, regional and national level.

We promote a positive approach to the sport; to introduce the joys of a healthy lifestyle and working with others; encouraging students to discover activities they may enjoy for a lifetime.

On-site we have a full-size Astroturf pitch. Indoors there are two Multi-Purpose Sports halls, a dance studio, gymnasium and a swimming pool.

There are four houses, Yellow Hawks, Green Eagles, Blue Kestrels, and Red Falcons. You’ll be attached to one when you join the school and will be able to represent your house in several competitive activities during the year, including the annual whole-school Sports Day.

Awards are presented for individual achievements and to the houses that triumph in each sport. But in all activities, the emphasis is on teamwork, effort and enthusiasm, along with friendly competition and having fun.
