International Baccalaureate (IB)

Comprising of over 4,700 schools worldwide and teaching over 1 million students each year, the International Baccalaureate Organisation was established in 1968 to meet the educational needs of students in international schools.

Regent is an IB World School and proudly offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme for Years 12 and 13.

The IBDP offers academic breadth and depth, combined with experiential learning through CAS – which encourages independence, drive and initiative. Through the Theory of Knowledge, students develop critical thinking skills, to connect subjects in a way that prepares you for university study.

This 2-year course aims to fully prepare students for university and independent learning with the skills of being caring, open-minded and culturally aware. Students must take a range of subjects, one from each of the six groups.

Three subjects are taken at Standard Level and three at Higher Level, as well as the compulsory core elements: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) and the Extended Essay (EE).
