Skills For Future Workplace
BTEC Courses

Regent will be delivering a dynamic BTEC (Level 3) Programme in Year 12 and 13 from September 2022 allowing students to develop vocational skills to move to university or into direct employment. This will follow on from the successful BTEC (Level 2) courses in Year 10 and 11. BTECs provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a field or subject and are an excellent alternative to the more theory-focused A Levels.

BTECs are taught through practice, where students go on multiple educational visits and meet industry specialists during their course, followed by a 1-week work experience in Year 12.

At Regent, we will offer popular BTEC specialisms, which particularly link to the thriving business industries in the UAE and beyond:

If you have an interest in the Hospitality industry, from catering or managing a restaurant to supervising a hotel or planning and managing events, Hospitality is an important subject for you to study.

It is an exciting course as it is a mixture of practical cooking sessions and trips to various hospitality businesses around Dubai to support theory work.

This is an extremely popular course which is the ideal stepping stone to achieving a higher qualification in Business, which encourages creative thinking and decision making. The programme aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structures of businesses and also to equip students with the skills required to succeed in employment or at university.

Sport is an excellent option for any student who is interested in developing an in-depth understanding of how the body responds to exercise and how adaptations can be controlled in order to tailor their own personal fitness in a way that will enhance their performance in specific sporting activities. There is a vast array of career opportunities in sports including education, sports management, the health industry, sport psychology, and cardiac rehabilitation.

KHDA Report

My role model is Elon Musk and to become a tech entrepreneur.

Regent has given me the skills and confidence to get there. In a variety of STEAM & Project-based Learning projects, I have worked with classmates learning to code in Python and Java, build robotic vehicles, and construct IoT sensors. We have won multiple competitions in the UAE and abroad for our tech projects and talent. Remember my name because I promise you will hear a lot more about me.

Possibilities are infinite at Regent for a child.

There are no limits to let my child’s imagination grow at Regent. He has become extremely ambitious in his thinking and outlook and what he believes he can do, which is great. Children are encouraged to take chances, try anything and not be afraid.
