Empowering our Youngest Learners to Achieve their Goals
We offer personalised education to each child by delivering an outstanding curriculum which centres around each child’s passions, interests and needs. We employ an engaging, creative and explorative style of learning enabling children to achieve outstanding academic results. We believe that children need a reason and purpose to learn. Hence lessons are based around real-life outcomes and achievements. For example, when teaching children to write we do not just practise letter-writing. Instead, children write letters asking to go on trips, or write advertisements for shows they have created or write “wanted posters” for lost toys. In this way children are fully engaged in their learning applying skills that they have been taught in class.
At Regent, children are not judged only on academics but on how they progress holistically. Each child has an individual target based on something that they want to achieve whether that be performing a dance in front of the class, learning to paint or throwing a basketball into a hoop. This empowers children at a young age to see that they can achieve goals that they set themselves which is a powerful message to send to our youngest learners. This approach combined with our Positive Education philosophy ensures that children learn how to progress and assess their individual character strengths to face every day challenges both inside and out of class.
