Going from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’ – A thank you note from Mrs Dale, our Principal

Going from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’ – A thank you note from Mrs Dale, our Principal

I am delighted to announce that we have been rated ‘Very Good’ by the KHDA for the Academic Year 2018-19. This is a massive achievement for all the staff, pupils and parents at Regent International School. Like all schools, we had a week-long inspection, during which we had the opportunity to show inspectors how amazing the pupils are and demonstrate and evidence all the hard work and improvements that had taken place since the last inspection in 2017-18, where the school was rated ‘Good’.

This DSIB judgment is indicative of the full support we have received from all our families. We thank our Regent community for supporting us through the journey from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’. The Team has strived hard to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities for all pupils without losing sight of the Positive Education ethos of the school.

From a whole school perspective, we are delighted that our students continue to make exceptional progress in English, Mathematics and Science. We have received further uplifts in the Primary phase with Learning Skills, Curriculum Design and Care, Guidance and Support now recognised as Outstanding across all year groups.

The award of a ‘Very Good’ judgement is not based on a weeklong inspection. It takes the excellent efforts of our pupils, staff, parents, and governors over many months to achieve this – and I congratulate and thank them all. We will strive to not only maintain this high standard but to build on it and improve further.

This is such a memorable time for all of us at Regent International School. I hope that when you read the KHDA Inspection Report 2018-19, you will be as proud of our achievement as I am. I would like to thank everyone for being so supportive of our school and community, and we look forward to celebrating future successes.
