Why I re-enrolled my child for September 2020

My daughter is a Year 3 student at Regent International Virtual School, since its commencement after the COVID-19 lockdown.

Here is my review as a parent.

I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by the efficiency and tireless work of the teachers, and the excellent IT team handling it all in the background.

As a mother, I have been privileged to observe on a daily basis how well my child’s class teacher and subject teachers deal with the students.

This is a nerve wrecking time for us all – to have the children stuck in the house for so many weeks with no real outlet. Thanks to the excellent online programme at Regent International Virtual School, the worst of it has been smoothed over, with the child staying busy, and excitedly attending her new ‘school in bed’ (and I mean that literally).

The only effort I have had to make is to ensure that she doesn’t wander offline back to her daily play activities at home, and of course, the herculean task to get her out of her pyjamas.

While many other parents are juggling e-learning with a schedule of working from home, thankfully, in my case, I am able to devote my entire morning to my child. In a way, I am also refreshing my own knowledge from Year 3 – for free!

A special mention must be made here for the excellent support from the Arabic and Islamic subject teachers. Their lesson duration is shorter, but their online presence and support is most commendable.

We have re-enrolled our child in Year 4 at Regent, and are hoping to meet the faculty and staff soon in September – in person.
