RIS is committed to the pursuit of excellence and leadership in educational services and practices.  RIS will meet its vision through providing students with a high quality academically rigorous education within a caring and personalised setting.  Our curriculum is balanced by a range of extra-curricular and sports activities.  We aim to enrich our curriculum by integrating an education in human values program that promotes holistic development.  RIS challenges its students to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to society.

At RIS we believe that through the process of enlightenment comes empowerment which results in personal excellence. 

RIS provides an educational environment that prepares our students for their place in an ever changing global economy.  We promote challenging and stimulating teaching that will take into account multiple intelligences and supports the learning styles of our students so that they can develop to their fullest potential.

RIS is an inclusive school which celebrates the international background of its student promoting tolerance between races and developing an understanding and appreciation of different creeds and cultures.  We encourage student involvement in community activities which enables them to become responsible and informed members of society.  

We promote personal growth by raising levels of awareness and developing involved citizens who will be well-prepared for life, able to think, care and listen with the courage of their convictions, to take action and to adapt, when necessary, to life’s changing circumstances, thereby living meaningful and fulfilled lives.

RIS has a tradition of holding high expectations for its students and trusting in their ability and willingness to stretch to meet these goals.  RIS values its students and, in return, expects them to understand and appreciate the privilege of knowledge.

RIS provides parents with evidence of their child’s progress and learning, and opportunities to actively participate in their child's education. RIS strives towards the forging of close and positive links with its parent community and host country in all areas.

School Ethos

The ethos of our school stems from our objective and vision of creating emotionally intelligent schools that integrate education in Human Values, where staff – whom students look to as role models – display high standards of behaviour.  In our schools, our staff endeavour to: 

Inculcate in students thoughts, words and deeds which are based on the 5 core Human Values of Right Conduct, Love, Peace, Non Violence, Truth.  The integration of human values in day-to-day life automatically result in students manifesting ethical conduct, courtesy, humility, kindness and respect when interacting with one another.

Encourage in students a “can-do” spirit and as well as attitude of nurturing high expectations of themselves.

Create an environment where each student, no matter what his ability, feels he counts, and is nurtured, valued and cared for.

Promote equality in privileges, opportunities and rights regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, ability and age.
